When parents are navigating separation or divorce, family life can become logistically and emotionally complicated. HSBHAPG can place a Behavioral Health Au Pair™ whose primary purpose during the transition is to preserve stability in the child's everyday world — maintaining the schedule, handling activities, preserving routines, providing companionship, reducing exposure to adult logistical stress, keeping childhood activities continuing, supporting school routines, and providing consistency between changing household arrangements where appropriate.
HSBHAPG does not determine how or when parents disclose family changes. Those decisions remain with parents and their appropriate professional advisers. The Behavioral Health Au Pair's role is to protect the child's routine and day-to-day stability while adults manage adult matters.

An HSBHAPG au pair is not a standalone suicide-prevention solution, and continuous observation does not guarantee suicide prevention. For any child experiencing suicidal ideation, self-harm risk, or an acute psychiatric crisis, HSBHAPG requires the family to involve appropriately licensed medical or mental-health professionals and emergency services whenever indicated. If an HSBHAPG professional is independently licensed to provide clinical services, those services must follow their professional licensing requirements and must be separately documented where legally required. The HSBHAPG professional can form part of a broader family support and safety structure, but never replace emergency or clinical care.

Families with elevated privacy or security requirements may request professionals with relevant prior experience, subject to availability, applicable law, employer policy, venue restrictions, family protocols, insurance, and licensing requirements. Where lawful and specifically permitted, some professionals may have independent firearms training or licensing, but the website does not imply that possessing or carrying a weapon is a standard HSBHAPG requirement.
